11/18/09-11/19/09 Classwork
If you were absent from class today, we watched the rest of the video and answered the following questions:
1. Compare REM & NREM sleep with respect to EEG activity, muscular activity, and cognitive activity.
2. Describe the effects of complete, partial, and selective sleep deprivation. What, if anything, do these effects tell us about why we sleep?
3. What do people tend to dream about, and what theories have been proposed to explain why people dream at all?
Your answers should be about half a page to a full page for each question. Each question has several parts to it and I want detailed responses. Be ready to discuss Chapter 5 next class period.
