2. Compare and contrast the nervous system and the endocrine system.

Explain how a specific phobia could be acquired through classical conditioning, being sure to identify the unconditioned stimulus, unconditioned response, conditioned stimulus, and conditioned response in your example. Also, using classical conditioning, indicate how the phobia could be eliminated.

Each response needs to be a paragraph (at least 4-5 sent.) minimum. You will not be allowed to use your notes that day. Make sure you know the information! Chapter 3 Test and Chapter 4 Homework- 10/26/09

Hi kiddies! Like I told 3rd period in class today, your Chapter 3 Test is scheduled for Wednesday, 10/28 (P.3), or Thursday, 10/29 (P.6). Please read and study your book & information so that you may do well. This will be one of the first grades of the 2nd 9 weeks, so make it a good one!

Also, I want you to get started on your Chapter 4 vocabulary. Part of what you need to know for the class and for the AP exam in May, is the application of all these terms we are learning. It is not enough to just learn the definition, but to give an example/or apply it to a scenario. So, for the Chapter 4 vocabulary (which can be found on your textbook website, link to the left of this post) you are required to list examples/applications for each term. Please do not give me the same example in your book. Try to make it something that will help you better understand and remember the term. You may draw a picture for each term as well if that's easier, but make sure that I understand what you are trying to describe.

Ch. 4 Vocab: Due- Wednesday, 11/04/09 (P.3) & Thursday, 11/05/09 (P.6)(extended due to the amount of words)

Grades

I am still working on entering grades. If your grade is not what you expected, or what it should be due to an error, just relax, take a deep breath, and we'll talk about it on Monday (odd day) or Tuesday (even day). I will be entering a few more things over the weekend and your grades may still go up or down before then.

Just a reminder: The last day to turn anything in to me for a grade is on Monday (odd day) or Tuesday (even day) of next week. Any make-up assignments or late work (for a lower grade) must be in by then to receive credit. Some of you have really been slacking and I will not be doing this again next 9 weeks. You have been warned. You all need to step it up!

Have a nice weekend! I love you all ;)
